End User License Agreement (EULA)
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ClipBear ("the App"), a macOS clipboard manager operated by ByteZoo Labs UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Domenica-Niehoff-Twiete 2, 22765 Hamburg, Germany ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using ClipBear, you agree to these Terms.
This document also serves as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the ClipBear application, including copies obtained through the Mac App Store. Where ClipBear is licensed via the Mac App Store, this EULA governs your use of the App in addition to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; the App Store–specific provisions below apply to those copies.
You must be at least 16 years old to use ClipBear.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use ClipBear for personal or professional use.
Direct (Paddle) purchases: the license may be installed and used on up to two (2) macOS devices per license key.
Mac App Store purchases: there is no license key. Access is tied to your Apple ID, and the number of devices you may use is governed by your Apple ID and Apple's Family Sharing rules rather than the per-license-key limit above.
You may not:
If you are a consumer (Verbraucher) residing in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
Loss of the right of withdrawal for digital content: ClipBear is digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. In accordance with § 356 Abs. 5 BGB, your right of withdrawal expires when we begin performance of the contract, provided that you have:
You provide this consent and acknowledgment during checkout via our payment provider, Paddle.com Market Ltd. A confirmation is sent to your email after purchase.
To exercise the right of withdrawal before performance begins, contact us at [email protected].
We offer a 14-day free trial (no payment method required) so you can fully evaluate ClipBear before purchasing. We strongly recommend using it.
If you purchase ClipBear as a business (Unternehmer), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply.
Refunds for subscriptions purchased through the Mac App Store are handled solely by Apple through Apple's refund process, not by us. To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" page (reportaproblem.apple.com) or contact Apple Support. The refund terms in the rest of this section apply to direct (Paddle) purchases.
Outside the statutory right of withdrawal, all direct (Paddle) sales are final and we do not offer refunds. Paddle, as Merchant of Record, may at its own discretion grant refunds in exceptional circumstances under its own terms.
This section applies to direct (Paddle) purchases. For Mac App Store purchases there is no license key or server-side verification — entitlement is verified by Apple and access follows your Apple ID and Apple's Family Sharing rules (see Section 2).
ClipBear includes an optional AI grammar correction feature powered by Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). This feature:
We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or consequences resulting from AI-generated corrections.
The App uses Apple's on-device Vision framework for OCR and includes automated content detection (URLs, emails, JWTs, UUIDs, IPs, credit card numbers, etc.). These features:
All clipboard data is stored locally on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. We do not have access to your clipboard content. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

ClipBear is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ByteZoo Labs UG (haftungsbeschränkt) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for ClipBear in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under German law, including liability for intent (Vorsatz) and gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit).
We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these Terms, including but not limited to:
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 9–11 survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App or our website.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles. The courts of Hamburg, Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
